Can I encourage you to believe God’s Word, all of it, as FACT?!
Math is one of the most exact things. Awhile back, I started to see God’s promises as math problems and proofs (though not nearly as complicated):
2 is ALWAYS 2
1+3 is ALWAYS 4!
It’s the same with God’s promises. If the Word says “this,” then we know “this.” IT’S ALL TRUE!
I remember hearing the Holy Spirit promise something would happen as I was lying in bed. And, of course, it did! Afterwards, I was eager for Him to tell me something else that I could trust in. Then I remembered His Word! Every scripture is from His mouth! God-breathed, God-inspired!
What/who else is there to trust in? We’re called to live lives of faith (2 Corinthians 5:7), not just trusting in what we can easily see. That is a limiting life; One that is prone to stagnation. I know too well! We’ve all had a replacement (aka idol) fall through at some point. Building on anything else is sinking sand.
Without faith we can’t please Him. We must believe that He exists AND that He will reward you for seeking Him (Hebrew 11:6). He has NO desire to leave us high and dry! We just have to trust His love for us!
As I’m gaining a better understanding of God’s VASTNESS and POWER, my faith is expanding. What is impossible for the Creator of Universe?! It ALL belongs to Him anyway! It is He Who puts people in power and strips that same power. He’s the One Who exalts and lays low. He’s the source of all good gifts. His breath is what’s in our lungs, if He took it back, all life would cease!
Even if it doesn’t LOOK like He will prove faithful, even if it DELAYS: it’s still and ALWAYS true! Sometimes He says WAIT, WATCH, and KNOW I AM GOD. We have a HUGE God who fills heaven and earth. (The heaven and earth HE made) If He said it, IT’S TRUE!
Prayer
Lord, we thank You for Your Word. I pray You would give us grace to seek you FIRST in all things. Help us to trust in and set our hearts on Your truths. May Your faithfulness be put on display and every worthless substitute be thrown away! May we trust Your Word as much as we trust the laws of physics. It is impossible for You to lie!
