57 Scriptures on God’s Heart

After receiving instruction from the Holy Spirit to meditate on God’s heart, I made this list of scriptures. Sometimes we need to be reminded of who God is to sharpen our discernment, recover from deferred hope and negativity, and/or build relationship with Him. If you need a reminder, or you’re seeing for the first time, THIS is our Father:

God’s Heart

1. God smiles on us (Numbers 6:25).
2. God is gracious to us (Psalm 116:5).
3. God shows me favor (Numbers 6:26).
4. God gives us His peace, lifts His countenance on us (Numbers 6:26).
5. God shows unfailing love (Psalm 21:7).
6. God never abandons or forsakes (Psalm 27:10, Psalm 37:25).
7. God helps us because He loves us (Psalm 44:3).
8. God is ready to forgive (Psalm 86:5).
9. God shows compassion and mercy (Psalm 86:15).
10. God is slow to anger (Psalm 86:15).
11. God is filled with faithfulness (Psalm 86:15).
12. God’s mercy holds us up (Psalm 94:18).
13. God is tender and compassionate (Psalm 103:13-14).
14. God is good to ALL (Psalm 145:9).
15. God is filled with kindness (Psalm 145:17).
16. God is righteous in ALL He does (Psalm 145:17).
17. God is good (1 Chronicles 16:34)!
18. God is seen in the compassion of Jesus (Colossians 1:15).
19. God gives justice to the oppressed (Psalm 146:7).
20. God frees the prisoners (Psalm 146:7).
21. God opens the eyes of the blind (Psalm 146:8).
22. God gives food to the hungry (Psalm 146:7).
23. God lifts those who are weighed down (Psalm 146:8).
24. God puts the lonely in families (Psalm 68:6).
25. God loves the Godly (Psalm 146:8).
26. God heals the broken-hearted and binds up their wounds (Psalm 147:3).
27. God delights in those who fear Him (Psalm 147:10-11).
28. God corrects those He delights in (Proverbs 3:12).
29. God loves those who love Him (Proverbs 8:17).
30. God loves our worship/gaze (SOS 4:9).
31. God desires that we live and live in abundance (Ezekiel 16:6; John 10:10)!
32. God sings over us (Zephaniah 3:17).
33. God finds pleasure in giving us the Kingdom (Luke 12:32).
34. God takes delight in us (Zephaniah 3:17).
35. God draws us to Him with loving-kindness (Jeremiah 31:3).
36. God restores and heals us (Jeremiah 30:17).
37. God tells us not to fear and helps us (Isaiah 41:13).
38. God chooses us and does not reject us (Isaiah 41:9).
39. God blesses us despite our circumstances (Isaiah 32:19-20).
40. God longs to be gracious to us (Isaiah 30:18).
41. God desires us (SOS 7:10).
42. God rewards us (Isaiah 61:7-8).
43. God gives us an inheritance (Galatians 3:29; 1 Peter 1:3-4).
44. God loves us (1 John 4:10; John 3:16).
45. God is impartial, He shows no favoritism (Romans 2:11).
46. God is righteous and just (Psalm 89:14).
47. God is our Friend (Romans 5:11).
48. God’s love cannot be taken from us (Romans 8:38-39).
49. God revealed Christ in our hearts (2 Corinthians 4:6).
50. God gave us Christ in His kindness (Ephesians 2:6-7).
51. God forgives us (Isaiah 43:25; Isaiah 44:22; Ephesians 1:7).
52. God calls us blameless (Ephesians 1:4)
53. God gives us grace, unmerited favor (John 1:16).
54. God prefers mercy over judgment (James 2:13)
55. God has good plans for us, to prosper us, and give us a hope and future (Jeremiah 29:11).
56. He reveals Himself when we seek Him (Jeremiah 33:3; Matthew 7:7; Jeremiah 29:13).
57. Love and faithfulness go before Him (Psalm 89:14).

  1. It is good to read all that God does for us from time to time. It helps us develope a humble spirit and see just how dependent we are on Him. It also shows and solidifies His great love for us. Just to know that the king of the Universe loves me, blows me away. We owe Jesus our lives and need to be His servant. Remember, it’s not about me. It’s about Him!!!!
