It’s a common thing for people to say God is not moved by tears, but faith. Faith definitely pleases God, it is written (Hebrews 11:6)! BUT I serve a God who is compassionate. He hears and sees our tears and they DO move Him whether we are weeping for the state of a person or nation, or if we have become faithless ourselves. There have been many nights all I had were tears, when my faith was beyond wavering and He STILL responded. He responded to the cries of Israel in Egypt(Exodus 3:7-8)! He cannot deny Himself (2 Timothy 2:13)! God is not cold, or dead, or absent. He is with us. He sees. He hears. And He IS moved.

“In my distress I called to the Lord; I cried to my God for help. From his temple he heard my voice; my cry came before him, into his ears.”
Psalms 18:6 NIV
“The Lord said, “I have indeed seen the misery of my people in Egypt. I have heard them crying out because of their slave drivers, and I am concerned about their suffering. So I have come down to rescue them from the hand of the Egyptians and to bring them up out of that land into a good and spacious land, a land flowing with milk and honey….”
