I used to think that TRUSTING God was the hard part, but it’s not. Stress, anxiety, worry, being disgruntled, snapping at other people, headaches, falling into depression, stomach issues….. THOSE ARE HARD. I’ve learned TRUST looks like RELEASE. It’s fresh air and PEACE.
In the Word, many people ASKED for faith. Jesus’ response: you only need a LITTLE (mustard seed). Sometimes we’re so used to trusting our idols (replacements), we have little to no history with God. Sometimes we simply haven’t ALLOWED Him to be GOD to us.
Lord, we pray for an increased measure of faith for our situations. Help us to trust you in all things. You are faithful, it’s impossible for you to fail. Everything you say is true! We make room for you today!
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”
Romans 15:13 NIV
“The father instantly cried out, “I do believe, but help me overcome my unbelief!”
Mark 9:24 NLT
“But I trust in you, Lord; I say, “You are my God.””
Psalm 31:14 NIV
“When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.”
Psalm 56:3 NIV
“Lord Almighty, blessed is the one who trusts in you.”
Psalm 84:12 NIV
“The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith [our ability to confidently trust in God and in His power].” And the Lord said, “If you have [confident, abiding] faith in God [even as small] as a mustard seed, you could say to this mulberry tree [which has very strong roots], ‘Be pulled up by the roots and be planted in the sea’; and [if the request was in agreement with the will of God] it would have obeyed you.”

When we rush in and try to solve a situation without waiting for guidance, we tend to make it so much worse. I’ve looked back so many times after God has worked it out and seen my impatience and how it hindered me. I have to step back and let God have control.
Yes! It can be hard to wait on His timing but as we gain history with Him, experiencing more of His faithfulness, it gets easier.
